China to help protect Manuka exports

After more than two years of negotiations, a deal has been struck with Chinese officials to protect New Zealand exports of Manuka honey. The UMF Honey Association, which represents 70% of genuine Manuka honey retailers, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese government-run agency that tests food imports.
